Review by hotel critic
Nestled by the serene Bras d'Or Lake, this inn captured my spirit as a traveler seeking both comfort and reflection. Recently, I stayed during the annual Pirate Days Celebration. Despite the bustling bar and restaurant being booked, the staff kindly guided us to enjoy drinks and a delightful dinner—fresh mussels paired beautifully with my scallop salad. My room was a well-maintained sanctuary, inviting and spacious, perfect for a restful night after a long drive. The facilities were satisfactory, including free wi-fi and ample parking, both valuable for travelers on the go. It's worth noting that their housekeeping team is diligent, ensuring a consistently clean environment. While the setting leaned towards luxury, the warm atmosphere and helpful staff reflected a genuine commitment to guest experience, offering commendable value for the price. I’ve always found this inn a wise choice—not just for its rustic appeal but also for its ability to balance a touch of luxury with a reasonable investment. If you're on the fence, I highly recommend it.
